De ligging van het drukpunt is van invloed op het stabiliteitsgedrag van het vliegtuig. Bij de RSL is in 1920 een instrument gebouwd, waarmee het drukpunt kan worden bepaald [1]. The center of pressure of a wing profile is the virtual location on the chord line of the profile, where the resulting air force acts. The location of the center of pressure is influencing the stability characteristics of the aircraft. In 1920 at the RSL an instrument is constructed to determine the location of the center of pressure [1].
