| Bijzonderheden | : | De supersone faciliteiten bestonden uit: - links: Een "blow down" Supersone Snelheids Tunnel (SST) met een meetplaats van 1,2 x 1,2 m en getallen van Mach in het bereik van 1,2 tot 4,0 en een maximaal getal van Reynolds van 100 miljoen. De lucht werd geleverd door een groot drukvat op 40 atmosfeer. - midden: Een kleinere Continue Supersone Snelheids Tunnel (CSST) met een meetplaats van 0,27 x 0,27 m, en getallen van Mach tot 4,0. De tunnel werkt continu met lucht van een grote compressor en het drukvat. De kleine tunnel kon oorspronkelijk tot Mach=6 door gebruik te maken van stoomverwarming (een "heater"). Die functioneert niet meer en nu is het maximum 4 zoals bij de SST. Carrouselfoto's 2, 3 en 4 tonen de faciliteiten vanuit een andere hoek. The supersonic facilities, consisting of: - left: A blow down Super Sonic Tunnel (SST) with a test section of 1.2 x 1.2 m, and a Mach number range from 1.2 to 4.0 and a maximum Reynolds number of 10^8. It was supplied with air from a large 40 atmosphere pressure vessel. - middle: A smaller Continuous Super Sonic Tunnel (CSST) with a test section of 0.27 x 0.27 m, and Mach numbers up to 4.0. It can run continuously due to air supply from a large compressor and the air storage vessel. The small tunnel was originally able to reach Mach=6 by using steam heating (a "heater").
