| Bijzonderheden | : | Europese luchtvaartlaboratoria en de vliegtuigindustrie ontwikkelen een Persoonlijk Vliegtuig, de PPlane. Dit kleine toestel met een capaciteit van een personenauto moet het verkeer over de weg ontlasten. Het PPlane-project moet het economische en ecologische bestaansrecht van gelieerde, duurzame technologieën verkennen. Het NLR houdt zich met “de factor mens” bezig, een terrein waarop de kennisonderneming NLR zich al vaak heeft bewezen. De menselijke factoren betreffen uiteenlopende zaken, zoals de interface mens-machine in de cockpit, de benodigde vaardigheden om te opereren met de PPlane’s, maar ook de sociaal-economische overwegingen van individuen om deel te nemen aan deze nieuwe vorm van luchttransport. De foto maakte deel uit van een postzegelmapje ter gelegenheid van 90 jaar NLR. European aeronautical laboratories and the aircraft industries develope a Personal Aircraft, the PPlane. This small plane with the capacity of a normal car shall relieve the road traffic. The PPlane project will explore the economic and ecological right to exist of related, sustainable technologies. NLR covers the "human factors", an area in which the knowledge enterprise NLR is proven many times. These human factors concern different issues, like the man machine interface, the required skills to operate the PPlane, but also the social economic considerations of individuals to participate in this new configuration of air transport.
