Bijzonderheden	:	Met de komst van de Douglas DC-2 voor de KLM in 1934 is het de eerste keer, dat de luchtwaardigheid moet worden beoordeeld van een in het buitenland ontworpen, geheel metalen vliegtuig. Er wordt onder meer een voorstel door de RSL gedaan voor verbetering van de stabiliteits- en besturingseigenschappen van dit toestel, vooral na het verongelukken van de "Uiver" (PH-AJU), eind 1934. With the introduction of the Douglas DC-2 by KLM in 1934 it is the first time that the airworthiness has to be assessed of an all metal aircraft, designed abroad. Amongst others RSL made a proposal to improve the stability and control characteristics of this aircraft, especially after the crash of the Uiver (PH-AJU) at the end of 1934.
