| Bijzonderheden | : | Prof. Dr. Ir. H.J. van der Maas (1899-1987) was aanvankelijk ingenieur-vlieger van RSL/NLL. Hij was voorzitter van het NLL-bestuur van 1950 tot 1961 en na naamswijziging, van het NLR-bestuur van 1961 tot 1971. Hij was de eerste hoogleraar in de Vliegtuigbouwkunde aan de TH Delft (1940-1967), eerst aan de afdeling Werktuigbouwkunde, later aan de onderafdeling Vliegtuigbouwkunde (tevens voorzitter). Hij was tevens voorzitter van het Nederlands Instituut voor Vliegtuigontwikkeling (NIV) van 1946 tot 1970. Prof.dr.ir. H.J. van der Maas (1899-1987) was originally engineer-pilot of the RSL/NLL. He was chairman of the board of the foundation NLL from 1950 till 1961 and after renaming of the foundation NLR from 1961 till 1971. He was the first professor in aeronautics at the TU Delft (1940-1967), first at the department of Mechanical Engineering, later at the subdepartment of Aeronautics (simultaneously chairman).
