| Bijzonderheden | : | De SST is een zgn. "blow down" windtunnel. De lucht wordt aangevoerd vanuit een drukvat (niet zichtbaar) aan de linkerkant. Daarna volgt het regelventiel en de suskamer. In het vierkante stuk bevindt zich de instelbare keel waarmee het getal van Mach kan worden ingesteld van 1,3 tot 4. Aan het einde daarvan de meetplaats met het model. De lange cylinder die de meetplaats kruist t.p.v. het model is nodig om zonder optische verstoringen zogenaamde schlierenfoto's van de stroming rond het model te kunnen maken. Daarna de diffusorsectie en het afblaas deel. The SST is a so-called "blow down" wind tunnel. The air is delivered at the left side out of a pressure vessel (not visible) and enters the control valve and the settling chamber.
