| Bijzonderheden | : | Op deze luchtfoto zijn de na-oorlogse uitbreidingen zichtbaar. Te zien zijn rechts bovenin het hoofdgebouw uit 1940 aan de (kromme) Sloterweg, links daarvan de westvleugel, de laagbouwvleugel of middenvleugel (beide in 1948 gereed gekomen) en het windtunnelgebouw (1940) met beide lage-snelheidswindtunnels (LST). De cirkelvormige installatie naast de LST is de draaiende proefstand voor de motoren van de Kolibrie-helikopter. Linksonder de Hoge SnelheidswindTunnel (HST) en linksboven de Centrale, die in een zeer korte tijd gebouwd was rondom stoomketels van afgedankte "Liberty" schepen, met de vijf karakteristieke schoorsteenpijpen. Duidelijk is te zien, dat het windtunnelgebouw rechts naast de HST nog niet gereed is. This aerial photograph shows the post-war extensions. At the top right, the main building from 1940 on the Sloterweg can be seen, to the left the west wing, the low-rise wing or middle wing (both completed in 1948) and the wind tunnel building (1940) with both low-speed wind tunnels (LST). The circular installation next to the LST is the rotating test site for the engines of the Kolibrie helicopter. At the bottom left is the High Speed Wind Tunnel (HST) and at the top left is the Power Station, which was built in a very short time around steam boilers of obsolete "Liberty" ships, with the five characteristic chimney pipes.
