Deze voedingsunit werd vastgeklikt aan de RMDU main unit om de elektrische voeding te verschaffen voor de elektronica boards die, al naar gelang de samenstelling van de gebruikte boards, de functionele eigenschappen van de RMDU bepaalden als basis data-acquisitieapparaat. De voedingsspanning was 115 V, 400 Hz. Speciaal voor het gebruik in de zware omgevingscondities van het vliegtuig voldeed het apparaat aan bijzondere eisen van luchtwaardigheid, o.a. op het gebied van trillingen, drukken, temperaturen en EMI (“Electro Magnetic Interference”) bestendigheid. Het apparaat is ooit ontwikkeld voor montage op de motor van een DC10. Het NLR gebruikte het apparaat in de drukcabine van het testvliegtuig waarmee vliegproeven werden uitgevoerd. The RMDU (Remote Multiplexing Digitizing Unit) was the heart of the MRVS measurement system on board the aircraft under test (see also database no. 90121). This power supply unit was attached to the RMDU main unit to provide the electrical power for the electronics boards which, depending on the composition of the boards used, determined the functional properties of the RMDU, the basic data acquisition device. The power supply voltage was 115V, 400Hz. Especially for use in the harsh environmental conditions of the aircraft, the device met special requirements of airworthiness, e.g. in the field of vibrations, pressures, temperatures and EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) compatibility. The device was originally developed by the Teledyne Company for the Douglas Aircraft Company for mounting on the motor of a DC10. NLR used the device in the cabin of the aircraft that was flight tested. |
